Anyone who can handle most home improvement and repair projects should have no problem installing the Vinylbilt Shutter system.
All shutters and frames are pre-cut, pre-hinged, and pre-assembled in the factory. The mounting frames are then broken down for shipping. Installation usually requires re-assembly of the mounting frame (if any), squaring the frame in the opening while securing with screws, slipping in the hinge pins to hang the shutter panels, and installing the magnetic catches, if any. Hinges are usually already attached to the shutter panels and frames and screw locations pre-drilled. Occasionally, hinges may need to be attached or holes drilled, but this is not typically the case. Most of our customers are average homeowners who like to save money and don't mind doing projects around the house. If you are not interested in installing shutters yourself, a "shutter installer" is not required. Any competent handyman or carpenter would have no problem installing these shutters.
