Measuring For Half-Round Arches
Measure for Perfect Arches
Arches rest on top of the blind head rail or above shutter unit.

1. ARCH AND WINDOW IN ONE OPENING:

Step 1: Measure the total window and arch starting height up the center of the entire opening.

Step 2: Measure blind WIDTH and blind LENGTH.

Step 3: Measure arch WIDTH and arch HEIGHT.

Step 4: Make sure blind length and arch height = TOTAL height of window.

Note: Perfect half round arches have a height approximately half the width. Moving the blind up or down slighlty may help with the arch fit. Once again the total height of arch window opening should equal the blind length and the arch height. Usually, we can specify a tip-to-tip measurement to match up when using a shutter trim below.

2.STAND ALONE ARCH WINDOW WITH SILL

Simple measure the width across the bottom and the height in the center.

Arch rests directly on sill.

Note: Factory adds about 1” offset around sides and top of arch to allow arch to overlap the window opening. For example: window width=34”, actual arch width=36”. Window arch center height=11”, actual arch center height=12”. These arches are intended for outside mounts only. Make sure there is no wood trim around the arch opening and that you have a minimum of 1+" from any obstruction.

1.EYEBROW AND WINDOW IN ONE OPENING

Step 1: Determine blind or shutter and arch starting height at mutually agreed to point of window opening. Blind may follow existing horizontal mullion or be at any designated dogleg height between 5” and 17”. A general rule of design follows the proportion of one quarter to one fifth of the width is the dogleg height.

Step 2: Measure blind or shutter WIDTH and LENGTH.

Step 3: Measure arch WIDTH and arch CENTER HEIGHT.

Step 4:Measure arch DOGLEG LEFT and DOGLEG RIGHT.

Step 5: Make sure blind length and arch height = TOTAL height of window.

2.STAND ALONE EYEBROW ARCH WINDOW WITH SILL

Simply measure the width across the bottom and the height in the center and the dog legs on left and right.

Arch rests directly on sill.
