Inside Mount With Z Frame OR Trim and Deluxe Trim Frames Depth Clearance: 1-1/4” for 2-1/2” Louver, 1-3/4” for 3-1/2” Louver, 2-1/4 for 4-1/2" Louver. These are the most common frames used with drywall openings (windows with no wall trim) and openings can be somewhat out of square as the overlaping trim piece will cover any gaps.

Inside Mount Without Frame Depth Clearance: 2” for 2-1/2” Louver, 2-1/2” for 3-1/2” Louver, 3" for 4-1/2" Louver. Requires very straight and square window openings. Usually used with windows that have existing wall trim.

Note: With optional 1-1/4” extended leaf hinge, the clearance can be reduced to 1-3/8” for 2-1/2” louvers, 1-7/8” for 3-1/2” louvers, 2-3/8" for 4-1/2" louvers. Inside Mount With Mounting Strip and Bent-Leaf Hinge Maximum depth clearance: 2” for 2-1/2” louver, 2-1/2” for 3-1/2” louver, 3" for 4-1/2" louver. Depth clearance can be reduced by 1” if mounting strip is installed closer to inside of opening. However, hinges will project into room up to 1”. Requires very straight and square window openings. Usually used with windows that have existing wall trim. Extended leaf hinges also available.

Recessed, Flush, or Extended Inside Mount with L-Frame Depth clearance: 2” for 2-1/2” louver, 2-1/2” for 3-1/2” louver, 3" for 4-1/2" louver. For recessed mount the depth clearance is measured from the front of the L-Frame. The L-Frame is the only frame which can be used when a recessed mount is desired. The recessed distance can vary as needed. It is also possible to allow the frame to extend from the window opening up to 1-1/4" to install as an inside mount when clearance is not adequate.

Outside Mount- L-Frame – Depth Clearance: 0” for 2-1/2” Louver, 1/2” for 3-1/2” Louver, 1" for 4-1/2" louver. For mounting on face of wall or on top of existing trim.

For more projection, add one or more 1/2" L-Frame extensions (see below).

Outside Mount Beside Trim With L-Frame (Extensions are required to prevent louvers from hitting the trim) It is also usually possible to mount on top of trim with the L Frame.

Outside Mount- Casing Frame Depth Clearance: 0” for 2-1/2" and 3-1/2" louvers, 3/8" for 4-/2" louver.
