When considering
Plantation Shutters, please be aware that the SunQuest and Eclipse
Plantation Shutters are custom made
to fit your windows. These are not "off-the-shelf" products that are
altered or otherwise made to "sort-of" fit.
Our ship-direct pricing is very competitive with others on the
Internet. Our low advertising costs and overhead are passed
along to you. Locally, we also beat Home Depot and Lowes when
installing comparable products. Below is a price chart
with examples from some other web sources for a typical
order. Note: we offer all the
mounting frames, colors, louver sizes, and configurations available for Vinylbilt Shutters.
Most of our competitors have limited their selections.

Some Really Cheap Shutters Out There On The Internet?
Sound too good to be true?
There are web sites
that advertise "Fauxwood" Plantation Shutters for less than $13 per
square foot. What these companies do not tell you is that these are not
full dimension shutters! The panels on these shutters are only about
5/8" thick, compared to the standard of a full 1-1/4" thick panels that
you would expect on a quality Plantation shutter. Most are Chinese
imports and made of a "foam vinyl" material, not stronger solid vinyl
extrusions.
Also, some companies are advertising faux wood or polypropylene
shutters near the cost of vinyl. These shutters are made from MDF
(Medium Density Fiberboard) and are quite heavy. It is not noted on
their web sites, but most of these products are actually made in
China (yes, even though they are custom made), and can
take 5 to 8 weeks to be delivered. Our vinyl shutters are made here in
the USA in 10 business days or less. MDF shutters have
a coating that is subject to chipping, peeling, or cracking.
The color of a true vinyl shutter is throughout the material. They will

When comparing shutter prices, note that many dealers charge extra for
various mounting frame styles, double hung or cafe style arrangements,
hidden tilt bars (if offered at all), some hinge finishes, and other
options. We have very few upgrade or option charges, which are detailed
on our Pricing
Page.
Most of our competitors do not even offer ByPass or BiFold door track
systems. There are no surprises with shipping charges either.
Plantation Shutter orders totaling over $500 include FREE SHIPPING. Any
orders for less incur a flat $45 charge. In addition to free
shipping, you will save an additional 5% on custom shutter orders over
$2500.
